The Case of The Missing Peep

Wow - going through pictures and not realizing at all how far behind I am!  Easter...well blogging a month after the fact really doesn't allow me to recall the details, so I will let the pictures do the talking.

But first, a story.  Mimi went to a lot of work to create a fun centerpiece.  Unfortunately, it was made of candy.  Kids don't understand when there is candy setting out in the middle of the table that they can't eat it.  All weekend long, all we heard was, "now can I have a piece of candy??" The pink edible grass slowly disappeared throughout the weekend.  By the time we were leaving, it looked like this.  WHO STOLE THE PEEP??  Scroll to the end to find out...

In the meantime, this is how we spent our time.  One thing to note is TJ's absence in the pictures.  For the first year, he had no interest in the Easter egg hunt, and he definitely had no interest in changing clothes for a family picture, let alone a family picture.  What he did love to do was go fishing.  He was often out on the pier or down at the marina on his own, learning the tricks of the trade from other local fisherman.

So, after all the times of telling the kids that they could NOT have a piece of candy from Mimi's centerpiece...who stole the peep???
