Happy Easter!

I had a great week with the kids!  Scott was gone for 7 days in a row, except for Tuesday.  The weather has been perfect - the pollen has died down, 70's during the day and cools down at night, and no mosquitos yet!  So, we were able to spend every evening outside with one activity or another.

Namely, while TJ has been "riding" a bike since he turned 4 (last year,) a week ago, his little legs were finally long enough that he learned to start and stop on his own, and he has found new freedom on his bike.  He is nothing short of addicted...always ready to go on a ride or up the street, around the cul-de sac, and back to the house. We've now ridden to birthday parties, the park, the YMCA, and several short loops around the area.  (Luka and Chili ride in the bike trailer!)

The kids have enjoyed several Easter Egg hunts this week as well at church and at school.  They made their own baskets this year at Spanish School.

The cousins also got to spend time together this week.  Norah giggles and squeals everytime she sees them and seems to continuously be fascinated and engaged by her older cousins.  She doesn't hesitate to ask to do anything they are doing.  Here, she had to get in the toybox with them:

Here, she had to splash around in the muddy puddles with Luka:

Here, Ont Onchee was trying to persuade her to leave her hat on; once they boys got theirs on, she seemed to not mind it:

Notice who is pushing and who is riding:

Here, she is saying good-bye to her big cousin TJ.

Luka and Norah got to stay over-night for a sleepover all by themselves this Friday night with MiMi and Papa.  They thought they were hot stuff.  They seem to really enjoy each other's company and everyone seemed to have a great time!  Ont Onchee and Uncle Seth are busy buying and selling houses, and TJ and I had some great quality time together at a play date and riding bikes!

So, now Daddy is home for a whole week!  Not sure exactly what we will do, but I'm sure it will include a lot of bike riding!  Maybe a trip to see the wildflowers (Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brushes, in particular) that are in full bloom right now.
