Memorial Day Fun

This past Memorial Day weekend, we again had the opportunity to spend several nights at the lake with good friends, the Bonniwells and the Histands. The weather was not quite as hot as it usually was, but perhaps that was because we had pretty good winds. However, this also made the lake pretty wild! TJ actually took a decent spill off of the tube and a big wave got him pretty good. He was pretty scared at first, but we made him into the hero and he felt ok about it after a bit.

So, we spent a lot of time just watching the kids swim by the dock, since they almost had a beach right out the front door! We also purchased a misting fan for the patio, which kept it nice and cool for the adults to sit up there and just watch all the action on the party lawn.





Of course, we also had plenty of time at the pool...



...and at the beach as well, as usual.



The first night, all 3 families stayed overnight. All the kids, plus Erin slept in the bunk room, with Lauren and Luka on the floor together. So cute! They were all so tired they did pretty well, even after the story about Big Foot got them a bit revved up. (Thanks Scott!)
