We made our annual trek to Kerrville, TX. Back in the Hill Country, and this year it was extra special because good friends the Rutledges joined us after only having moved one week earlier from Fayateville, AR to Boerne. SaWEET! We are so happy to have them back in Texas and only 3.5 hours away. (OK, more like 5 with kids but hey, who is counting?) Yee haw!
When we first arrived, we headed to the kid's concert at noon to see Trout Fishing in America. This picture is when the kids were first reunited. It is cute and all, but I have to chuckle everytime at the man in a sundress directly behind. So typical for this festival!
We headed to good 'ole Koyote Ranch cabin #26. Sadly, they recently renamed it to Medina Highpoint Ranch. Really? Turns out it only had one bathroom and we coulda sworn it had two but, again, who's counting?
We spent the day at the pool - Miko and Scott started struttin' their stuff and went for an all out swim competition. After Daddy-O got his butt kicked several times, he decided it was time to get serious and next thing we know, out walks someone who we thought had to be Michael Phelps' brother. Oh my!
Later on that night we headed to the festival, equipped with lots of glow necklaces and other entertainment. (Live music doesn't seem to quite do it for the kids. What?!)
Always so good to be back in hill country!
