It is certainly hard to believe that that little 3 lb, 4 oz. baby is riding a bike today, all on his own! Trevor Jace never ceases to amaze us in his interests, personality, and love for life. What a joy it has been these past 48 hours to celebrate the day of his birth.
Friday we enjoyed a school party at Interfaith to celebrate the last day of school, which coincided with TJ's birthday. Scott took a pinata in to the party, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. That evening, we presented TJ with his birthday gifts from us, the most special being a brand new orange and blue bike. As I type this, Scott and TJ have just returned from a 2-mile bike ride (no training wheels) and were headed to the dirt bike hills at a local park. Daddy is certainly getting his workout in, considering TJ is not quite able to start or stop on his own, and needs immediate assistance at any point and time. That evening, we headed to the local pizza joint at TJ's request and enjoyed a nice family birthday dinner.
This morning we headed to the local park where TJ and about 25 of his friends from Interfaith, Spanish Schoolhouse, church and other friends helped celebrate. The weather was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better time. We enjoyed cupcakes and snacks, caught up with old friends and made new friends as well. Thanks to everyone who helped make this day so special for TJ!
