Happy Halloween!

The kids were so excited for their blue hair and to be Thing 1 and Thing 2. It was just absolutely hilarious. Of course, having dad to dress up as the Cat in the Hat was so much fun! A huge thanks to Grandma Vera for making the costumes!

Ashley and Erin and their kids came over to go trick-or-treating in our neighborhood, and then stayed for a chili supper.

There were a few cute (or rather, embarrassing?) moments from the evening.

At the beginning, we realized we had some pretty disrespectful and greedy kids. They were grabbing handfuls of candy instead of one piece, and continually forgetting to say thankyou. TJ soon caught on, but Luka had trouble. He had to take a time-out and had to wait on the curb and missed two houses. Boy, did he get it after that. From that point on, after each house, he would announce "Mommy, I said thank you and I took one piece!"

Then, at one house, Luka and TJ must have forgotten whose turn it was to ring the doorbell. By the time the lady answered the door, TJ and Luka were in an all-out fist-fight, and were pinching and screaming at each other. In the mean-time, some other kids came to the door, got their candy, and the lady finally shut the door. Scott dragged them back to the street, had a little talking to, and TJ ran back up to the door to ring the doorbell again. When Scott called for him to come back, TJ yelled back "I am NOT finished yet!" Oh boy...
