Kindergarten Graduation

Well, I certainly never had kindergarten graduation.  But in Texas, (or maybe because it is 2012 and it seems that kids have to receive a reward just for getting out of bed) there is kindergarten graduation.  So be it.  Luka was SO excited for his day and was SO proud to walk up on that stage and accept his certificate.  He should be proud, considering that he isn't even technically old enough to have gone through kindergarten. 

This year, Luka has certainly shown that he is a little sponge for information.  He cannot wait to do homework - just tonight I handed him a big packet of homework that his teacher gave him to work on over summer break, and he has already knocked out the first week.  Luka has learned to read and write this year because he simple loves to learn.  In the one picture below, Luka is accepting his certificate for the "Worker Bee" award, because he evidently starts his assignments immediately and does not stop until they are complete.  Not surprising.

Our old neighbor, Jackie, dropped in that morning, and we were so honored to have her attend in Daddy's absence.  She was able to help with Mikayla and help with video too.  Mikayla finally warmed up to her once Jackie started feeding her cake, or course!

Luka, we love that you love school, and we support wholeheartedly your thirst for knowledge and drive to succeed!
