December is here, and so is talk of Santa, the naughty list, and pretty little red dresses. Notice who got all dressed up to see Santa, who did not want to have anything to do with him. While the boys were on his lap, Mikayla had a death grip on my arm. When I tried to put her on TJ's lap, she instantly screamed and arched her back and that was that. Maybe next year! (Also, notice TJ's hair in these pictures. See below.)
We've had a few very naughty instances. Despite Luka getting in trouble for cutting his hair last week, TJ decided the other night that instead of doing his homework (which requires cutting), he too would experiment with the scissors. He proceeded to "do his homework" under the table, and when he emerged, he had literally cut to the scalp the entire top middle section. The last picture shows what he looked like before I "fixed" his hair. He originally thought it was cool and he looked like a rock star. I told him he could go to school like that the next day. Before bed, however, he decided that I needed to "fix" it, so he wouldn't have to go to school like that.
Mikayla is quickly gaining her independence. While decorating the tree, we heard a chair scooting in the kitchen. She hadn't dropped any on the floor. She had crawled on the chair to reach the cheerios in the panty, and had a big handful in a bowl. Then, she saw Luka get a bowl out of the cupboard, so she did the same, and walked into the living room with a bowl (pitcher) and 5 cheerios inside. Miss Independent!
