TJ and Xavier are still pretty attached, though it was interesting that the last night they were together, they were really starting to pick on each other. Perhaps it was due to lack of sleep (we (including the kids) have been going to bed after 10:00 p.m. - it just stays light so long you lose track of time) or perhaps they were just starting to act too much like brothers, but regardless, it is good that they are having a break now while our kids are in Chicago with Mimi and PaPa.
Mimi came for the week and had a ball with the kids. They visited a local sprinkler park, and a definite highlight was the Children's Museum. The kids just loved it and were so pooped from their day. The next day, I had plans to play with the kids all afternoon, but instead, we all slept for 3 hours!
One night we went to get ice cream for $1 night. The kids sure thought that was a special treat!
After ice cream, Xavier had his first slumber party with TJ and Luka. TJ and Xavier slept all night in the same bed, once they got to sleep at 10:45!!
A big dissapointment was that Scott's schedule didn't work out as we had planned. He was supposed to fly into Indy late Wednesday night, and have the whole day to play while on a layover on Thursday. Instead, due to weather in Houston, he was reassigneed to New Orleans, and didn't make to Indy until Friday night. Not much you can do in those situations, but a disappointment nonetheless.
On Saturday, we enjoyed a concert by Trout Fishing in America on the lake at the Indy State Park before the kids headed out to Chicago. It was really geared toward the kids, and TJ just loved the Dinosaur Song.
