Summer Plans

With June wrapping up, we are anticipating our trip to the midwest.  On Friday, we'll be driving to Indianapolis and staying for the month of July.  Brooke and Kumar, our good friends from Houston, moved to Indy last year, and while they have now sold their Houston home and bought one in Indy, they have a lease through the end of July on their rental house.  So, we will be staying there and enjoying the diversity and experience of a different city and taking advantage of the relative proximity to grandparents.

Scott was able to bid several 4 day trips to reduce commute time from Houston.  But, the great news is that 3 of the trips include an entire day off/layover in Indy, so he will actually be in town while he is technically working a trip.  I guess extended layovers in Indy aren't the most popular for Houston based pilots....lucky for us!

Week 1 - MiMi comes to Indy to see the kids, help with childcare, while at the same time working and allowing me to work.
Week 2 - The kids will go solo to Chicago to spend several days with Mimi and PaPa.  Scott and I plan to enjoy dinners out and several movies that are on our list to see. (Twilight: Eclipse, and Sex In the City, if you care to know.)
Week 3 - We all head to Goshen to see Grandpa and Grandpa Schmucker and Garber.  Bonus: cousins Lucas and Nathan will be there too!
Week 4 - Hospital House reunion in Indy.  Claassens are heading in from California, and the Stalters are driving in from IL.  We'll miss you, Dana!
End of week 4 - Heading home

With that said, I haven't packed ONE bag.  Lots to do in the next two days!
